To keep Soundcheck running smoothly and make sure everyone has an awesome experience, we’ve put together some quick policies. By booking a session, you’re agreeing to these rules. Don’t worry, they’re here to protect the space, the gear, and your time to rock out!
1. House Rules
These are the general rules customers need to follow while using Soundcheck’s space.
House Rules:
- Respect the equipment: Treat all instruments, amps, and gear with care. Be extra cautious putting guitars back on their stand. If you’re unsure how to use something, ask!
- Clean up after your session: Please leave the studio as you found it. Throw away any trash, and return any borrowed gear to its original place.
- Return the keys: After your session, make sure to place the keys back in the lockbox so the next person can access the building.
- Noise policy: We want you to unleash your sound! We also don’t want our neighbors to hate us. Be mindful of blasting the speakers on Monday - Friday from 8 AM - 4 PM.
- No food or drinks near the equipment: Keep food and beverages on tables and coasters to prevent damage to the equipment.
- Session timing: Be respectful of your booking time. Ensure you're finished and out of the studio at the end of your session. Others may be waiting to start.
- Damage: Any damage to the studio or equipment must be reported immediately by calling (217) 899-6656 or emailing [email protected]. You may be responsible for costs associated with damages. There are cameras in the space and we can trace damage back to the person who caused it.
- Zero Theft Tolerance: Again, we have cameras. And we have hearts. We will be sad if you steal instruments, accessories, gear, cables, and even our cool vintage lamps. Be respectful. Karma is a you-know-what.
- No smoking or alcohol: Smoking and alcohol are not allowed in the studio space.
- Personal belongings: Sound Check is not responsible for any personal belongings left behind after your session.
2. Policies (Cancellation, Refund, Terms of Use, Damage)
Cancellation & Refund Policy:
- Cancellation window: You can cancel your session up to 12 hours before your scheduled time for a full refund. If you cancel within 12 hours or less before your session, no refund will be provided.
- Rescheduling: It's best to reschedule your session. You can reschedule up to 3 hours before the start of your session without any fees. If it's less than 3 hours before your session, you will need to cancel and rebook a new session, subject to availability and cancellation fees.
- Late arrivals: Sessions will not be extended for late arrivals. Please plan to arrive on time to make the most of your booking.
